Empowering our future female leaders

I have served as a Sole Mate for my local chapter of Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana. The reason this is important to me is that I know the value of empowering young girls for the future. After my first year as I solemate I became a mom of a little girl. I ran the entire time I was pregnant with her and after my pregnancy continued to run races to raise money for Girls on the Run. My daughter is now in Kindergarten and loves to run. I am excited for her to take part in Girls on the Run in the near future. Not only because she enjoys running because of the lessons she will learn through the program. Programs like Girls on the Run are vital to empowering our future female leaders!
