Rising Above: The Inspirational Journey of Ranjana Tripathi
You change the vibes of the room when you enter! You are one inspiring person I have met. When you speak, it heals…and many more.
I am Ranjana Tripathi, currently 48 years old. As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the empathy and wisdom I have carried with me since my youth, advising friends and offering support. Born into a middle-class family in Calcutta, my life has been a testament to resilience and determination.
My father, a highly educated English literature scholar from St. Xavier’s College, was the sole breadwinner of our family. Despite his intellectual prowess and spirituality, our lives took a dramatic turn when my elder brother succumbed to cancer. This tragedy drained my father’s hard-earned savings
From the depths of adversity, I found my true calling. My experiences, both joyous and harrowing, have shaped me into a beacon of hope and inspiration for many. The journey was never easy, but every challenge I faced only strengthened my resolve to rise above and make a difference.
In the early days of my marriage, the weight of expectations was crushing. I was expected to conform to a traditional role, to serve and remain silent. But within me burned a desire for more—a desire to pursue my education, to build a career, and to assert my independence. Despite the lack of support and the constant criticism, I persevered. I completed my software engineering degree with flying colors, even as I balanced household responsibilities and faced relentless societal pressure.
My professional journey began with a modest role as a system officer, but my dedication and hard work saw me rise swiftly through the ranks. I took on administrative roles, became a center head, and eventually managed customer relations for high-profile clients, including IAS officers and corporate professionals. Each role taught me valuable lessons, not just about work, but about resilience, leadership, and the power of perseverance.
Motherhood brought new challenges. The birth of my son was a joyous occasion, but it also meant I needed to find a balance between my career and my responsibilities as a mother. When I could not rely on my husband or in-laws for support, I made the difficult decision to leave my job to care for my son. This period was particularly challenging, as I faced criticism from my in-laws who supported my sister-in-law’s career who was a housewife and had no awareness but had a support of a husband and in laws because of her sheer jealousy and comparison she was expert in creating drama in the family where i was just an amateur. She was helped to set her school, but they dismissed my own aspirations.
During this time, I turned inward and found strength in self-reflection and personal growth. I began writing, pouring my thoughts and experiences onto paper. Writing became a form of therapy, a way to heal and find clarity. I realized that my journey could inspire others facing similar challenges. My purpose evolved from achieving personal success to helping others find their path and overcome their obstacles.
Becoming a life coach was a natural progression. My life experiences equipped me with the empathy, insight, and wisdom needed to guide others through their struggles. Specializing in personal transformation and spirituality, I have had the privilege of helping countless individuals find their purpose, heal from their past, and create a future they are passionate about.
The COVID-19 pandemic was a pivotal moment. As the world grappled with uncertainty and fear, I reached out to over 10,000 people online, offering support, motivation, and a sense of hope. The positive impact of these interactions reaffirmed my belief in the power of connection and empathy. My work during this period not only helped others but also reinforced my own sense of purpose.
Today, I stand as a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of staying true to oneself. As an author, I have shared my story and insights through several books, touching lives and inspiring change. My journey is a reminder that no matter the obstacles, with determination and faith, one can overcome and thrive.
