I’m celebrating what I have learned about myself through adversity in childhood, a successful career in education and as a hopeful survivor of cancer which has changed my world view completely. I now want to ban the word normal and empower everyone to value what is distinctive and unique in everyone.
I'm a leadership consultant working with school leaders in the U.K. and internationally. I am also a co-founder and national leader of #WomenEd, a joyous grassroots movement which connects and empowers women leaders in education to take their next leadership step and so increase the numbers of women leaders across all education sectors. We work in the U.K. and, so far, USA, Canada, The Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic. I am also a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching in England. Previously I have been a teacher. A Headteacher, a Chair of Governors and Director for School Partnerships at University College London Institute of Education.
