Never in a million years did I expect that a woman in the Arab community be manhandled and hit infront of her kids until last night. This was so outrageous that the international community must feel the injustice that every woman ever felt.
Let me start with the story; in the first article I said that we were a Palestinian community, small in size, large in value- talking economics now excuse me; getting back to that I mentioned that we were under occupation but regret to mention now that the guards/gate keepers to that occupation is a heinous authority under the illusion of a state – you can call it whatever you want but those gate keepers were responsbile of the injust act of hitting a woman infront of her kids.
Their claims are as follows:
Gate keepers: we give you 10 minutes to clear the premises.
Woman: release my husband, he did nothing wrong, my kids want their dad and I’m not going away without him. “Her kids were standing their scared and screaming their lungs out to release their dad”.
Her husband; the american citizen; was kidnapped by the same gate keepers from the city center. Accusation: being in a community gathering!
Hold on, let me go into the psychiactric details a little bit; we’ve been under occupation for as long as I remember; being under occupation, we haven’t been in direct contact with the enemy “thank heavens” but then the gate keepers; they’ve been in direct relations with the enemy for as long as they’ve been in power. Daily deals, phone calls, businesses…you name it. I believe and correct me if I’m wrong; they’ve been experiencing the stockhom syndrome. I’m not a psych expert here but taking the definition directly from google, the syndrom is a psychological response. It occurs when hostages or abuse victims bond with their captors or abusers. This psychological connection develops over the course of the days, weeks, months, or even years of captivity or abuse. Could this be it? I mean; the occupation was dealing in the same way! hitting women and arresting children; terrorizing the elderly in the name of keeping security. The resemblence is uncanny it’s scary!!
Anyway; getting back to the detainment; this young man had an opinion to fight for injustice; killing people off in the name of security is unaccepetable. So he was amoung people that were protesting as a way of speaking against injustice.
The method of arrest: direct hitting; manhandling; cuffing; name calling and all the ways that you see any oppressor/occupation call it whatever you like does.
The end of that night was horriffic; the gate keepers sprayed pepper spray in the faces of the woman and her children and the handful of people that were standing with her – including a 77 year old professor who spend his whole life teaching at a university.
Till when are we going to stay like this? Not defending women and children? Abuse is from all parties in this community we need help!
Women solidarity!!
