The Power in Women Supporting Girls

I have volunteered with Girls on the Run as a community coach in several different regions. Though the demographics have changed from council to council, I have been struck by how each girl desperately wants to be heard and to lead. Showing these girls that their voice is valid and important has helped shape my own personal mission and values. After transitioning away from traditional leadership roles in college into the “real world” where you have to start at the bottom of the employment ladder, Girls on the Run provided me with an opportunity to see my impact and experience the power in women supporting girls.
