A determined high school student located in Austin, Texas, promoting social change in the fight for gender equity. Back in 2022, Aairah started the first ConnectHER club and now assists six other high schoolers in the US on the ins and outs of operating a ConnectHER club. ConnectHER is a non profit organization that focuses on empowering women and girls globally through education, scholarships, storytelling, and filmmaking. The organization’s main goal is to bridge the gender gap and provide opportunities for women and girls to thrive in various fields.ConnectHER is involved in promoting education, entrepreneurship, leadership, and other opportunities for women and girls in different parts of the world. ConnectHER clubs are school-based chapters affiliated with the ConnectHER organization. Aairah has organized donation drives, cultivated awareness of women’s stories, fundraised for charities, and created posters for the girls’ athletic teams, previously only made for the boys. As a young girl inspired by various female role models, Aairah understands the importance of educating and involving young minds in the cause of gender equality and women’s empowerment. “I urge everyone to strive to create a world where the strength of every individual, regardless of gender, is celebrated and embraced.”
