The quiet collapse of admiration for someone once revered –
Grief started as confusion and misunderstanding,
It became betrayal and back stabbing.
That pinching pain between understanding and forgetting.
Grief entered with warmth and left with stillness,
Made its way down to the depths of forgiveness .
But running away doesn’t work so we sit and mend like the cobblers who know their craft.
Grief arrived in fury and left in softness.
It brought clarity in silence. All that uncomfortable silence.
It felt familiar like an old friend or maybe a dreaded enemy? It fed all the guilt and left cracks for things unsaid.
Things done can’t be undone but grief performed its Kintsugi. It picked up all the pieces only to be mended in gold.
Grief was the sorrow and the happiness of letting go.
Grief was everything that Cannot be explained .
Just deeply felt and deeply changing.
Rooting and grounding.
Only with love,
Grief kissed me and freed me.
