The Bowing Stranger by Svetlana Maria Sonday

Dedication: I dedicate this story to the bowing stranger I met on the boardwalk.

The Bowing Stranger by Svetlana Maria Sonday

One sunny day, a little child was walking with their mommy down the sidewalk. They were laughing and talking about butterflies and clouds.

Suddenly, a man they didn’t know came up to them. He smiled really big, bowed politely like he was saying hello, and said, “Photo? Photo?” over and over.

The child blinked. “Huh?” they thought. “Why does he want a photo? I’m just walking!”

Before the child could say anything, Mommy gently took their hand and said, “Let’s keep going, sweetie.”

And off they went—walking away, safe and sound. The child looked back one more time, just a little bit curious.

Later, they told the whole story, because it was a very surprising day!

The end.
