Life is sweet

On May 16 2026 my heart stopped. It started back up but was sputtering, every time it stopped I blacked out and went to a place that was actually not that scary. My wife was upstairs so I called her and told her to call 911.San Clemente’s finest came just in the nick O time.I’m a mirror twin so my inner organs are reversed, its called Citeus Inversus and it perplexes one and all in the medical field.I am 6-4 230 lbs the problem was the narrow stairway,It took 6 dudes to circumnavigate the turns and still keep me afloat, and alive.I have been dealing with a severe case of Atrial Fibrillation for about a year and a half,up until then I woke up at 4:00 A.M. made my lunch and went to work.At 68 I still worked as a carpenter and never skipped a beat ,no pun intended. So I was really sick for a long time and I was sick of not being able to last more than a couple of minutes before I started huffing and puffing it really sucked. The boys loaded me up in the welcome wagon and hauled Ass to mission hospital in Mission Viejo,I was blacking out off and on for about an hour,at one point I saw my parents amazingly they were both very young and happy to see me .I’m sure I was close to the other side but just when I was ready to go I came back to life with a guy on top of me giving me CPR .They put a tube down my throat and that’s the last I remembered until I woke up with a mask blowing pure oxygen down my throat I was Alive yahoo.I was lucky my personal cardiologist was doing rounds that Saturday night. They put a temporary pacemaker on the outside of my clavicle with a wire running to my heart, kept me alive so they could get a specialist at U.C.L.A.medical to get me back to health with the real deal.3 months later I am forever grateful to these unsung heroes, the E.M.Ts at Victoria street Firehouse.Chris Chen at Mission hospital, who saved my life and the nurses and emergency room doctors who kept bringing me back into the blue.I’m 71,my grandson was born on June 7th,thanks to all my friends my kids and my wife of 48 years. The pace maker is guaranteed for nine years 80 never looked so good.
