At the age of 19 I had my 3rd open heart surgery
I had to have surgery so soon because my other heart failed
I had just finished high school I had a rough lonely year in and out of hospital
I remember being scared and lonely during my hospital stay so I listened to Taylor Swift and her inspirational music got me through surgery
I was in ICU for about 3 nights and then they moved me to a ward for about a week to recover
I remember waking up in ICU and then they tried to get me to walk straight away I was in so much pain and all I wanted to do was sleep and be left alone
I finally got to go home I was exited but I had to go home with tape down my chest and had to avoid getting the stitches wet when showering and couldn’t do lots of normal activity’s
